Burren Slow Food Festival

Lisdoonvarna, May 17th~ 19th

7th Annual Slow Food Festival

For those of you who haven't heard Slow Food is a global initiative with the goal of reigniting a spark in people's passion for food, local traditions, and culinary heritages. The Slow Food Philosophy aims to combat the rise of fast food and challenges people to think about how our food choices affect the world as a whole. Not just your husband's moods or your son's football training!

Slow Food Clare does just that. The three day event will provide a variety of ways to explore and celebrate The Burren Region's fine local gourmet traditions.

Events include nutrition advice, cookery classes, dinner at the Wild Honey Inn, Organic Salmon tasting at The Burren Smokehouse,  The Burren Players "No dinners for Sinner's" performance at The Royal Spa, Micro Brew tasting at The Roadside Tavern, and much more.

The special guest of honour this year is Celebrity Chef Richard Corrigan, and he knows food! Not to mention the many talented local Chefs from the Burren Region will be on hand demonstrating their skills with samples to share.

We are hungry already.
